Of course, every couple are after a stress-free and worry-free Wedding, something we strive to achieve at The Wellbeing Farm. You already have pre-ceremony jitters, so why not take even more pressure off your day, by…insuring your Wedding.
It may be something you’ve considered, or it may be something that seems like a totally crazy idea! But, as you never know what could happen before, during, or after your Wedding, it’s best to insure your day – it will definitely put your mind at rest.
As much as you expect there to be no mishaps, sometimes things happen…so insurance will cover you. Think about how much your Wedding will cost – it’s usually more than a holiday, yet you’d usually still take out holiday insurance. So, why not take out Wedding insurance too?
Wedding Insurance is tailored to you and your needs, just like any other form of insurance. But it will most definitely cover three main things: rescheduling, replacement and reimbursement, according to Step by Step.
If you’re booking your Wedding with us, we hope to be able to be given your desired date, but sometimes, and particularly in the Summer season it’s not always possible. However, if for certain circumstances your wedding has to be rescheduled, your insurance can cover this.
Some of these circumstances include:
Severe weather that means your wedding is unable to take place (not just a spot of rain or cloudy skies), and yourself and/or guests are unable to attend your wedding
Important people are unable to make it due to illness or injury (such as your Officiate, or photographer)
Bride/Groom has a change in job (unemployment, relocation)
Bride/Groom is called to military service
Airport delays, terrorist activities
In the melee of a wedding, things are easily missed, and for the venue’s Clean Up Team, and for you, it can be really stressful getting all your décor back into it’s boxes and going through what is and isn’t yours. The minute details of your décor could be missing or lost, but Wedding Insurance can cover this.
Sometimes, more upsetting things can happen and your personal belongings (think your wedding bands, wedding gifts) could be stolen. However, just like your décor, you can get a policy that covers this, just in case.
Often with insurance, clients want to be reimbursed. With Wedding Insurance, what can be covered is:
Honeymoon costs (if your Wedding has been postponed or cancelled)
Deposits given to suppliers who have gone out of business before providing you with their services
We really hope our ‘The Importance of…’ series helps you to prioritise some necessities for you Wedding. Have a real think about Wedding Insurance, and don’t forget to inform your Wedding Planner/Coordinator of any and all of the decisions and changes you make to your plans. Your next step: Speak with an insurance provider.
